The Iglesia de los Jerònimos is the oldest of Madrid’s religious monuments that was built in far 1505. This Gothic style church was a place of prayer and spiritual retreats for Spanish kings and it was the site of royal weddings until King Alfonso XIII married Queen Victoria in 1878.
