Keukenhof is located a short walk from the small town of Lisse and around 7 million bulbs are planted in this garden. It gives a fabulous view and is a major attraction of Holland. I was lucky to have seen this garden from inside as I went there last year in first week of May during my a week long trip to Amsterdam, because this garden remains open only for 2 months from mid March to Mid May. Yes, it is always better to book a hotel in advance to avoid any hiccups in finding a good accommodation at the last minute. If one had to plan a trip in a hurry then no need to worry as there are lots of last minute and late availability hotels are available on internet with great deals, which you can search on sites like hotels.nl, tripadvisor.com, hotelclub.net, discountcityhotels.net, amsterdam.info and many more.
